What is Integrative Medicine?

Integrative Veterinary Medicine is a broad discipline that includes and combines a blend of western medicine with holistic  approaches to treatment. This multi-modal approach  combines the use of conventional pharmaceuticals and treatments with acupuncture, massage therapy, nutrition and herbal remedies. Each treatment plan is tailored to the individual needs of the patient, with a focus on quality of life and reduction of pain and anxiety.

Synergy Paws - Integrative Veterinary Care

When it comes to our pets, there is nothing we wouldn’t do to keep them from experiencing pain or anxiety.  That is why traditional and new healing modalities are being embraced, as the benefits of pet acupuncture, Tui-na, herbal therapies and other treatments offer beneficial and noninvasive ways of enhancing recovery and managing pain.

Individually there are benefits gained from each of the eastern modalities. But when we use eastern modalities in combination, we have a synergistic effect.  For example, if we utilize acupuncture + herbal medicine, rather then 1 + 1 = 2, we may find that 1+ 1 = 4.
